We are not born with them but many die with hundreds all over their bodies. Why do they do it? Tattoos have been part of human cultures right from the beginning. However, their true meaning has changed dramatically - from social status within a close community to a trendy fashion style among young and adventurous people. Why is it different now? What do you think of the people who like wearing tattoos? Would you like to have a tattoo? What kind of tattoo? Where? How much money are you willing to pay for it? How much pain can you tolerate? From my personal opinion tatoos are just a waste of money and time.
most of the people who made a tatoo will regret some day and the the treatment required to erase it is as painful as expensive.
people who made tatoos are exposing there selfs to a lot of illnesses and infections, even when they made their tatoos in a "safe place" there are no garanties.
for me, those people are just people who don`t think in the consequences of their acts and then they would regret their whole live.
Nowadays people get tatoos to express feelings, memories, or only because they like it. Some years ago I wanted get a tatoo, inflenced by Miami Ink program; I like to watch this program, because I like the sories about why people wants to get a tatoo, the magnific tatoos that the store staff make carefully. If I have the opportunity in the future, I'll get a tatoo,why not?, I'ts a big decision that I have to do, but I like so much the tatoos.
The meaning that used to have the tattoos has changed, that's true; some people take it as a fashionable object, but some others take it as a kind of religion, what I mean: They put in their bodies portraits of relatives, friends, even their pets or other things because they say is important to them be closer to the people they love or that thing has a meaning in their life.
I believe a tattoo has to be care as a form of art; they show in many ways our society and our customs, you could meet who is a person because of them. Imagine you walking as a live piece of art, it is awesome. But I really don't like people who put a tattoo in their bodies only because of fashion; they might have to live with a graphic that doesn’t represent anything of their life, only the selfish they are.
I actually want to have a tattoo, in my back, and it would be last stanza of a Pink Floyd's song, "I wish you were here"... and here it is:

And I will put this in my body because it has a meaning in my life. Not because of fashion.
well, i think tatoos are cool, only if you love them, it's like every time you see it, you feel proud and joy. After all, everyone has the right to do anything over their own body,right?. It is very difficult and inappropiate to determine what is cool for everybody.
Tattoos are dang cool! I got a star in my back, and 4 sure it does not hurt at all! It wz my 1st tattoo and I think that the adrenaline and the feeling you experience when you're feelin' the ink comin' out, make you forget about the pain...maybe that one wzn't that big. When you get a BIG ONE and you've previously chosen it...you see the results and you surprise...some tattoo artists make masterpieces on your skin!!
The best is to customize it and to have it done just the way you want it... it's something that will never go away so do it just if you're completely sure about and and the design you've chosen really fulfills your expectations of what a cool tattoo is =)
